House Raising & Elevation

Raise your whole home above the flood line.

The centerpiece of coastal flood protection: we lift your entire house as one unit and set it on a new, code-height foundation — engineered for your flood zone and kept dead level the whole way up.

When elevation makes sense

If the flood maps found your home, raising it is the fix.

After years of nor'easters and rising base flood elevations, thousands of Jersey Shore homes now sit below the height the FEMA maps require. Raising the house is the permanent answer — it moves your living space up out of the water instead of fighting the water every storm.

We handle the elevation end to end: the assessment, the engineered plan, the lift, the new foundation, and the reconnection. You get one crew and one point of contact from the first measurement to the final elevation certificate.

House raising questions

How high will my house be raised?
To the Base Flood Elevation for your flood zone, usually plus freeboard for extra margin and lower insurance. The exact height is set by your township and the FEMA flood maps and locked into the engineered elevation drawings before we begin.
How long will I be out of the house?
The home is off its foundation with utilities disconnected during the project, so it isn't occupiable. Most elevations run a few weeks to a couple of months depending on the new foundation, permits and site conditions.
Can raising my home lower my flood insurance?
Elevating your lowest floor above the Base Flood Elevation is one of the main factors flood insurance is priced on, so many homeowners see lower premiums after an elevation. Your exact rate depends on your policy and flood zone, so confirm the numbers with your insurer.
